Principal’s Message

Welcome to Montford Middle School! Home of the Mustangs!

It is an honor to serve this remarkable community and to share the pride we have in our continued achievements. Montford Middle School remains committed to the highest standards of academic excellence, and year after year, our students and staff deliver on that commitment. Our rigorous expectations, combined with a supportive and engaging learning environment, ensure that every student is challenged, encouraged, and prepared for success.

We are proud to have been continuously recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a School of Excellence, a distinction that places Montford among the top academic middle schools in the state of Florida. This honor reflects the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students, and the partnership we share with our families and community.

Beyond the classroom, Montford Middle School leads the way in athletics and fine arts. With over 60 opportunities available through athletic teams, fine arts programs, and a wide variety of clubs, our students have countless avenues to explore their interests, develop new skills, and take pride in their involvement. We believe that engagement beyond academics helps students build meaningful connections and strengthens their sense of belonging on our campus.

At Montford, community is at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in fostering strong relationships among our students, staff, families, and supporters. This sense of unity and shared purpose is what makes our school truly special.

Being a Montford Mustang just means something a little bit different. It means striving for excellence, supporting one another, and embracing every opportunity to grow. It means belonging to a community that believes deeply in its students and is committed to their success.

Thank you for visiting our website, and thank you for your continued support of Montford Middle School. Together, we will continue to build on our traditions of excellence and ensure that every Mustang thrives.

Sincerely,
Mr. McQuade
Principal

    Before & After School Information

    • Montford Middle School is proud to offer a Before & After School Enrichment Program for your students. We hope this program will serve as a means to assist our families with before and after-school care while offering well-supervised, varied and educational opportunities that will enrich our students with middle school-related activities. Afterschool will use the first 30–45 minutes for homework time; however, it is up to the students to complete their homework without allowing distractions.  We will have guest speakers, events, and enrichment activities.  Our new location will be in Building 3, NOT the gym classroom; I will include more info in the registration packet.  Welcome to EDEP!

2025-26 Registration will OPEN July 28th through Pre-Planning Week. Please complete the "application" packet once we post the new one if you are interested in enrolling your child/children in the upcoming EDEP.

      Email to:  Montford EDEP

You can add yourself as an "observer" to your student's Canvas by completing the following two steps:

    1. Have your student generate a "pairing code" by following the these directions.
    2. Create yourself an account by going to the Canvas log in website.

Friendly reminder that FOCUS should be used to look at your student's current grades. Canvas is NOT an accurate picture of your student's academic standing.
