The goal of the Montford Football Camp is to help young learners develop their individual and team football skills in a safe, fun environment while meeting new friends and forming new relationships through a series of drills and games designed to increase physical ability and build quality character.

2026 MONTFORD FOOTBALL CAMP
This 3-day football camp will take a holistic approach to teaching the fundamentals of the game on offense, defense and special teams. Players will have the opportunity to learn terminology, safety and technique at multiple position to aid in their development. In addition to on the field instruction and terminology, basic weightlifting fundamentals will be taught through body weight exercises. This camp is led by Montford Head Football Coach Keith Cottrell and the current coaching staff.

WHO: All rising 6th, 7th & 8th graders interested in football.
WHERE: Montford Middle School Football Fields.
WHEN: Monday, July 20th through Wednesday, July 22nd.
TIME: 8:30 am- 12:15 pm.
COST: $125 per camper. This includes, instruction and a camp t-shirt. Per Leon County Schools policy, only check or money orders are accepted. Checks can be made out to Montford Middle School.
EQUIPMENT: Each camper needs to come prepared with athletic shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes, cleats and with their own water bottle. This is a non-contact camp. Helmets and shoulder pads will not be utilized.
ELIGIBILITY: All campers must be fully cleared with all forms and electronic signatures in the Aktivate athlete registration platform. Information and links to complete can be found on the Montford Athletics Website.

The Making of a Mustang Camp
This is camp is designed to give incoming 6th graders an opportunity to see what middle school life is like on campus before school starts. They will get an introduction to fun actvities, campus tours, meet and greet with Montford teachers, sweet and salty treats, and much more.

2026 New to Middle School Music Camp:
New to Middle School Music Camp:
This camp is designed for soon-to-be Montford students who are leaving 5th grade and headed into 6th grade! We will be spending a week teaching students the very beginning basics of a brand new band instrument (the flute, clarinet, trumpet, or trombone), along with review/introduction to some of the basics of music. No prior musical training or experience is necessary! Each student will have an instrument provided for them, a music book, and snacks!! Camp is June 15-18 9 AM-NOON daily. Checks should be made to Montford Middle School and the cost of camp is $120. Use this registration form to sign your student up for our camp!

MMS Band Camp for Returning Band Students: (2026)
Returning Member Camp:
Each summer, the Montford, Swiftcreek, and Deerlake Middle School bands come together for a two week long band camp. This camp is for students who have at least 1 year of band experience, and is aimed at preparing students for their next year of musical experience. Students will get to perform a variety of music with new and old friends, and receive instruction from all 3 schools' band directors. The dates are June 1-4 and/or June 8-11. Camp runs 8 AM-NOON each day, except on Thursdays when we will hold a brief performance at 12:30 in the MMS Cafeteria. Checks should be made to Montford Middle School, and cost is $120 per week ($220 if you sign up for both!). We can only accept checks or money orders for this event. The goal of the Montford Basketball Camp is to help children improve basketball skills in a safe, fun environment where they can make friends, practice individual and team fundamentals that are important to basketball, and learn developmental skills that may be used on and off the court. Must be registered in Aktivate.
