Welcome to the Media Center where Mustangs read and research.
The Media Center is open every day during school hours and before school with a pass (after 8:45am) and after school until 4:30.

Our mission is to nurture students literacy and research skills while providing free access to various forms of information in an inclusive, welcoming environment. We strive to enrich our school community and academic standing by aiding students and faculty alike.

How do we choose new books for the library?
Popularity and student demand
A committee made up of the certified media specialist, administration, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders look at the 'wanted' list and compare to professional reviews to deem the appropriateness to have the new books in the school library. All books must comply with old and new state laws.

Every year, the Florida Association for Media in Education chooses 15 books for 6th through 8th grade to award the Sunshine State Young Readers Award.
At Montford, students are encouraged to read all 15. After reading a current SSYRA book, visit the Media Center and test with Ms. Convery to earn prizes.
